POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting with all marketing and public relations functions and designing art and copy layouts for Messina Hof Winery and Resort and its related departments.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Responsible for adding growth and development of Messina Hof and increase market share. Assist with all marketing initiatives and activities.
  • Capturing and editing high-quality, brand-aligned photos and videos for use across digital marketing channels and campaigns.
  • Maintain open communication with other Messina Hof departmental managers on execution of tasks to ensure their marketing needs are being met.
  • Identify and communicate all items to be promoted to Messina Hof staff and follow through on marketing events and programs
  • Manage Messina Hof’s online presence on search engines and travel platforms and address customer questions and comments in a timely manner
  • Support and execute advertising campaigns, as well as promotions and marketing strategies
  • Coordinate, create, design, develop and close all personalized label orders
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns and social media marketing opportunities
  • Design and create newsletters, press releases, company marketing materials, labels, ads, radio scripts, posters, displays, eblast, and advertising art
  • Complete computer layout work/camera ready art as needed and work with vendors to coordinate digital artwork necessary to complete assigned projects
  • Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arranges layout based on space and aesthetic design concepts
  • Follow through and complete function sheets for Marketing events (i.e., festivals, demos, etc.), and assist with marketing needs for competitions, festivals, conventions, etc.
  • Assist with website management, development, SEO rankings, blogging and social media campaigns and marketing initiatives
  • Obtain bids for various projects and marketing initiatives
  • Identify and develop contacts for promotional campaigns and industry programs that meet identified buyer targets
  • Maintain Brand standards according to documented Brand strategy, personality, and values
  • Support all Messina Hof locations marketing efforts including occasional regional travel to additional sites, and completing event promotion requests in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed, data entry, responding to reviews, sending surveys, and inventory management

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)

  • Related degree and/or 1-3 years of experience in the marketing industry
  • Strong photography and videography capabilities including image capture and editing skills
  • Social Media knowledge with ability to write, generate and design content and produce creative ideas
  • Possess long and short-term memory and ability to maintain records, organize, and multi-task
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Able to operate a personal computer and be familiar with a variety of computer programs, including graphic design, desktop publishing, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Orderport, etc.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet necessary sales goals and deadlines
  • Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
