Description

Job Summary

The Wine and Spirits Specialist is responsible for stocking, rotating, facing, and building displays. They ensure an efficient checkout experience and compliance with alcohol laws, while promoting Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience by assisting customers with their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service:
    • Greet and assist customers with product needs, recommendations, and store policies.
    • Ensure a positive shopping experience and accurately process transactions.
    • Verify customer age for legal compliance.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Stock products, rotate and face items, clean shelves, and build displays.
    • Monitor inventory, reorder products, and ensure proper labeling and pricing.
    • Check product quality, expiration dates, and handle returns.
    • Maintain warehouse and department sanitation.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Assist with training new team members.
    • Help with building maintenance, including snow shoveling and floor cleaning.
    • Participate in events, promotions, and minimize product loss.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Must work in a refrigerated environment and be flexible with tasks.
  • Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals.
