We have an immediate, critical opening for a high-level Caregiver or CNA in Huffman, TX. You will be providing vital personal care and daily living support for an individual with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), working alongside and supporting the client's home health clinical team.


We are specifically seeking candidates with facility-based experience (such as skilled nursing, rehab, or hospital settings) who are comfortable working around complex equipment and understand the flow of a high-acuity care environment.

About the Opportunity

Critical Requirements:

Background Check: Must be able to pass a clean, comprehensive background check .
Open Availability: Ability to cover shifts flexibly as needed.
Absolute Schedule Consistency: The client relies heavily on a predictable routine. Impeccable attendance and punctuality are required.
Ideal Background Familiarity (Non-Medical Support Role):
Comfort working in an environment with a ventilator and feeding tube (the clinical home health team manages the equipment; you will support the client's comfort and daily routine).
Willingness to learn and assist with Eye-Gaze communication devices to ensure the client can voice their needs.
Responsibilities (Non-Medical Care Plan)
Personal Care & Hygiene: Provide total personal care, including bathing, showering, dressing, and meticulous grooming/skin care.
Mobility & Positioning: Assist with safe transfers, turning, and positioning to ensure maximum client comfort.
Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare meals; assist with oral nutrition protocols as outlined in the non-medical care plan.
Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment around the client's care area.
Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside the home health nursing staff and report any changes in client comfort or status immediately.


Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of caregiving experience.
Strong preference for candidates with facility care or skilled nursing environment backgrounds who understand high-acuity client needs.
Credentials: CNA certification is highly preferred, but experienced non-certified caregivers with the right facility background are welcome to apply.
Reliability: A proven track record of excellent attendance. Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation are mandatory.
