Job Description:

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation's largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Katy office.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately
  • Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
  • Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic inoffice lab testing
  • Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
  • Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed
  • Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience

Education / Certification Requirements:
Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA. Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Schedule

  • Monday: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Saturday (1-2 per month): 8:00am-12:00pm
