Job description

OB/GYN Medical Assistant
Plaza OB/GYN is seeking a compassionate, dependable Medical Assistant to support physician and nurse practitioners in providing exceptional women's healthcare. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
  • Assist providers during gynecologic exams, prenatal visits, and in-office procedures.
  • Perform specimen collection, injections, and point-of-care testing as needed.
  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain clinical supplies.
  • Document patient information accurately in eClinical Works.
  • Coordinate lab work, prescription refills, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and provider instructions.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection control standards.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Previous OB/GYN or women's health experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (ECW preferred).
