Purpose of Position
Create mixed reality software and hardware solutions to provide a realistic training environment that combines both a physical and virtual world. Design, develop, test and troubleshoot software across the development cycle for GUIs and runtime applications. Use disciplined software development methods, construction techniques, usability and interface skills, test methodologies and configuration management. Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Designs prototypes for new technologies, algorithms, structures, and processes. Conducts research and development.
  • Supports computer system and hardware requirements, integration, and maintenance.
  • Develop engineering tools
  • Remains current on state-of-the-art technologies through technical papers, periodicals, and conferences.
  • Travel, shift work, and special work hours may be required to accomplish some of the above tasks.
  • Exhibits and practices professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
  • Interacts within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.
  • Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions or other applicable laws and regulations and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.

  • Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance. Willingness to work overtime as necessary.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other applicable technical field; and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other applicable technical field preferred.
Minimum Experience
5+ years of experience in relevant technical industry

Senior Developer
  • 5+ years of experience in software development or a related technical field.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Game Development, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and/or C# programming.
  • Experience with graphics or game development technologies such as Unreal Engine, Unity, OpenGL, Direct3D, HLSL, or GLSL.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience developing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), or Mixed Reality (MR) applications.

Technical Product Owner
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and assessing technical feasibility.
  • Ability to collaborate with Product Management to define Mixed Reality product priorities and roadmaps.
  • Experience supporting business proposals, technical presentations, and customer engagements.
  • Responsible for planning and executing demonstrations, trade shows, customer events, and technical showcases.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% for demonstrations, customer support, and project activities.
