The Electrical Engineer independently executes engineering tasks, manages components of projects, and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams. Under minimal supervision, this role leads the design, analysis, and implementation of MEP-T systems for small to medium-sized projects and represents the firm to clients in that scope.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of discipline-specific systems for small to medium projects using Revit and modeling/calculation tools.
  • Assist senior engineers with complex designs, plans, and calculations.
  • Perform calculations and simulations.
  • Review product submittals and shop drawings.
  • Respond to RFIs for assigned scope.
  • Conduct site visits and prepare reports.
  • Prepare technical documentation and participate in project meetings.
  • Ensure project delivery within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Comply with QA/QC procedures and assist in developing project workplans.
QualificationsEducation & Licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Relevant professional licensure or certification preferred (EIT, PE, CPD, FPE, RCDD, etc.).
Experience
  • 4+ years of engineering experience in the AEC industry.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Revit and discipline-specific software.
  • Strong grasp of building codes and design standards.
Leadership & Management Skills
  • Capable of guiding junior staff and leading internal reviews.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Communication & Business Skills
  • Skilled in preparing reports, proposals, and client communications.
  • Comfortable representing the firm to clients for smaller projects.

Supervisory Responsibility: No direct reports but may mentor junior engineers or interns.

Work Environment

Office-based with regular site visits; must adhere to safety requirements.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit/stand for long periods, use standard office equipment, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. Site visits may involve ladders, uneven terrain, and varied weather.
