This role will operate remotely, allowing you to engage with clients through virtual platforms. • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, actively listening to clients and guiding them through therapeutic exercises.
• Collaborate with licensed mental health professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to clients’ unique needs.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all counseling sessions to meet legal and ethical standards; this includes progress notes, treatment plans, and client assessments.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision meetings and training sessions aimed at developing therapeutic techniques and enhancing clinical skills.
• Adjust treatment methodologies and objectives based on client feedback and observed outcomes to ensure impactful therapy sessions.
• Engage in community outreach to connect clients with additional resources and support services as needed.

As a Mental Health Counseling Intern, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The telehealth setting allows us to reach clients from various backgrounds, which enriches your experience and understanding of different mental health needs and community dynamics.

• Must possess a valid intern license in Washington, such as LMHCA or MFT Intern.
• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth technologies to conduct virtual therapy sessions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with clients in a virtual environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling effective monitoring of multiple clients and treatment plans.
• Ability to demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity while working with a diverse clientele.

• At least two years of experience in mental health counseling, either through internships or practical clinical settings.
• Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based approaches.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth software applications.
