Job description

Job Summary:
Leidos QTC Health Services is offering a DoW SkillBridge opportunity for transitioning active duty Service Members seeking to gain meaningful corporate experience prior to separation. This opportunity is exclusively available to active-duty military members approved for the DoW SkillBridge program.
This Strategic Sourcing Specialist SkillBridge Internship supports our Provider Management team and provides hands-on experience in sourcing, engaging, and building relationships with healthcare providers who deliver services to Veterans and Service Members. This role offers a unique opportunity to translate military experience into a corporate talent acquisition environment while continuing to support the military community through mission-driven healthcare programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Source, identify, and engage healthcare providers nationwide
  • Conduct targeted outreach campaigns (phone, email, virtual engagement)
  • Build and maintain a strong provider pipeline through strategic sourcing efforts
  • Track candidate activity and maintain accurate data in recruitment systems
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support staffing initiatives
  • Communicate the value of partnering with Leidos QTC to prospective providers

Ideal Candidate:
  • Must be an active duty Service Member eligible and approved for DoD SkillBridge participation
  • Must live in the United States (not available to service members overseas)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and engage with professionals
  • Comfortable with outbound outreach (calls, email, virtual engagement)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data entry, CRM-type systems)
  • Strong interest in supporting the military mission by connecting healthcare providers with opportunities to serve Veterans and Service Members

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in recruiting, sourcing, or talent acquisition
  • Experience working in healthcare or with medical professionals (not required)
  • Familiarity with tracking systems, databases, or administrative workflows
  • Prior experience briefing leadership or providing status updates
  • Target Military Specialties: Special Duty Recruiting, Human Resources Specialist, Personnel Specialist, Career Counselor, Medical Admin Specialist, Health Service Management

Program Overview:
  • Program Duration: 90-120 days (flexible based on SkillBridge requirements)
  • Location: Nationwide (remote opportunity)
  • Schedule: Full-time participation aligned to standard business hours (flexible based on command approval)
  • Start Date: Flexible based on transition timeline and SkillBridge approval
  • Functional Area: Provider Management / Strategic Sourcing supporting healthcare programs for Service Members and Veterans

Program Terms and Conditions
  • Participation is limited to active duty Service Members approved for the DoW SkillBridge program and in good standing with their command.
  • This is a training and professional development opportunity only and does not constitute employment with Leidos QTC Health Services.
  • Work schedules and participation expectations will be coordinated in alignment with mission requirements and command approval.
  • Participants are expected to adhere to company policies, including confidentiality, data security, and professional conduct standards.
  • Access to company systems, equipment, and information will be granted as needed for training purposes and may be revoked at any time.
  • Participation does not guarantee future employment, though participants may apply for open roles through standard hiring processes.
  • Participation may be terminated by either party based on business needs, military requirements, or unsatisfactory performance. If participation is ended, the Service Member will return to their unit in accordance with command guidance.

Compensation and Benefits
This is an unpaid DoW SkillBridge internship opportunity. Participants will not receive wages, stipends, or other forms of compensation or benefits from Leidos QTC Health Services during the duration of the program. Participation in this program does not displace regular employees.
