Job Purpose:

Supports the cutting, bending, punching, and fabrication of sheet metal components to specifications provided for roll forming and coil handling equipment. Assists Sheet Metal Shop in forming, moving, and organizing metal materials and parts.

Responsibilities:
  • Bends and forms metal parts to specifications
  • Organizes parts and materials
  • Uses power tools, manual tools, and heavy machinery to form metal. Punch press, Shearing machine, etc.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity among working shifts by documenting and communicating actions
Qualifications:
  • Previous Manufacturing experience Highly Encouraged
  • Previous Sheet Metal/Fabrication Experience is Preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Shows initiative and ability to problem solve and trouble shoot problems both independently and as part of a team
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • ability to work with a team
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day
