General Statement
Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Gallatin College seeks course instructors to teach in Bozeman in one or more of the following specialty areas:
  • Professional Chef
  • Meats & Vegetables
  • Baking and Pastry
  • Dairy Foods and Culturing
  • Panty and Garde Manager
  • World Cuisine
  • Bar & Beverage Management
  • Meats & Charcuterie
  • Baking & Pastry
  • Purchasing & Cost Control

Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. For all Workforce programs: occupational experience in the field is required. Academic degrees or industry certifications may be required depending on the course.
  2. Demonstrated experience working with and engaging students and colleagues within and outside the department

Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Prior teaching experience.
  2. Culinary School Degree
  3. American Culinary Federation Certification
  4. Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff enrichment

The Program
Culinary Arts is an Associate of Applied Science degree program focusing on traditional culinary arts coursework alongside unique offerings that include concepts such as farm to table, local agriculture, sustainability and value added techniques, all with a local Montana emphasis. The AAS in Culinary Arts is a 60 credit offering with summer session opportunities at MSU's Towne's Harvest field work and/or an internship. This program is well aligned with Montana's food culture and strong tourism industry.
