Dexter is seeking a motivated Information Technology Intern to join our team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of IT functions while developing technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in a professional environment.

As an IT Intern, you will work alongside Dexter’s IT team to support technology projects, HelpDesk activities, systems and equipment maintenance, and hardware and software initiatives. You’ll gain exposure to areas such as IT infrastructure, information security, system administration, enterprise applications, and technical support while contributing to projects that support the business.

What You’ll Do

As an IT Intern, you will gain hands-on experience through projects and responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with monitoring the daily performance of computer systems, applications, and IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to computer system users.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and help resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues.
  • Set up computers and other equipment for employee use, including operating systems and appropriate software.
  • Support IT team members and remote Dexter facilities with technology needs.
  • Help maintain equipment inventory, track equipment movement between facilities, and coordinate the recycling of unused equipment.
  • Assist with hardware and software repairs, upgrades, installations, configurations, and testing.
  • Support enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and help ensure technology solutions meet business requirements.
  • Assist with security reviews, audits, system maintenance, backups, and redundancy efforts.
  • Gain exposure to information security standards and practices for infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Monitor and test application performance and assist with identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the design and maintenance of information and operational support systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other IT professionals to help resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment.
  • No regular travel is required.
