WHAT YOU WILL DO (JOB SUMMARY) 

We are looking for an engaging Retail Manager to join the team and create a welcoming, professional, and clean environment for our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing amazing guest service and brings a warm and positive attitude to the Retail team. The Retail Manager engages with guests and staff throughout their shift, which requires the ability to provide direction as well as attentive, caring guest service.  The Manager is responsible for a variety of tasks that help support the General Store workflow by working with, training, and supporting the retail team. The Manager also plays a key role in engaging with our guests and enriching the guest’s experience. Ideal candidates have been top performers in their previous roles and are excited to help make a place like the Ranch even more special and memorable for our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional guest service and warm, caring hospitality 
• Support all facets of store operations
• Stock, merchandise and maintain inventory and store presentation
• Train all retail staff on POS, cash handling, espresso machine use and maintenance, stocking, merchandising, receiving merchandise, cleaning, daily duties and guest interactions.
• Identify and communicate to the Retail Director the needs of the business and if stock levels are low in any areas
• Receive transport and store deliveries, and organize storage areas
• Create a positive and productive work environment
• Operate cash register and process credit cards 
• Operate barista area and prepare and serve food & beverages 
• Maintain food and general store safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Communicate professionally at all times with all staff and management
• Support team members and interns while fostering a positive work environment
• Work safely, address/report safety issues, and use proper personal protective equipment
• Comply with work shift schedules and break requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned, including additional lodge support as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED; college degree a plus
• Minimum one-year prior work experience in retail leadership, restaurant or other customer service/hospitality preferred
• Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain 
• Experience successfully living/working in rural/remote environment preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The physical environment requires employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions, and to adhere to departmental uniform standards
• Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
• Ability to stand and move continuously
• Lifting up to 50 pounds and moving carts weighing 300 pounds
• Working with required chemicals and PPE
• Shifts of up to 8 hours per day, plus periodic additional overtime hours and help covering additional shifts when needed
