This role is structured for outpatient therapy, enabling you to engage directly with clients while utilizing technology to provide remote support. In your role as an LMFT, you will perform a variety of clinical functions, which may include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Providing individual, family, and group psychotherapeutic treatment sessions to address various emotional and behavioral issues.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, share insights, and ensure a cohesive treatment approach.
• Documenting all treatment sessions and care plans concisely and accurately, adhering to established clinical documentation standards.
• Acting as a liaison with community agencies to connect clients with external resources and foster a network of support.
• Participating in disposition planning and advocating for client needs to support their ongoing mental health journey.
• Training and mentoring interns or less experienced staff members in therapeutic techniques and best practices.

Your work will primarily serve adult and geriatric populations, addressing a range of mental health concerns. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marriage and family therapy, with the following qualifications:

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Thorough understanding of theoretical frameworks and clinical models relevant to marriage and family therapy.
• Proven ability to establish trust and rapport with clients and their families, fostering therapeutic alliances.
• Excellent skills in clinical documentation and maintaining comprehensive medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of current community resources and the ability to connect clients to appropriate services.
• Capability to perform a complete mental status exam and recognize changes in patients’ mental health conditions.
