The position is fully remote, allowing counselors the flexibility to create a suitable work-life balance while delivering impactful mental health services. Though the counseling takes place in an outpatient setting, counselors will coordinate with various internal and external partners to ensure seamless patient care. Employees have the choice of setting their own hours within a Monday to Friday schedule, with weekends available as needed, promoting flexibility in managing personal commitments.

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and crisis interventions to assess patients' psychological and emotional states.
• Develop and coordinate treatment plans that align with the assessed needs of patients, leveraging a collaborative approach with other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure timely follow-up care for patients, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Prepare and submit required statistical reports to maintain the integrity of patient records and outcomes.
• Work closely with local correctional facilities to facilitate mental health services access for incarcerated patients, including planning for post-discharge care.
• Lead group therapy sessions and manage treatment on mental health observation units, providing support and guidance to participants.
• Participate in mental health and medical rounds, contributing valuable insights to interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Engage in case conferences and collaborate in treatment planning for patients considering various mental health interventions.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions in compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
• Participate weekly in clinical supervision sessions to enhance professional development and ensure quality care delivery.
• May conduct psychological testing and supervise social work interns or student volunteers, sharing expertise to cultivate a supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population of individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. We emphasize a client-centered approach, ensuring that care plans are sensitive to each patient’s unique cultural, psychological, and social backgrounds.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• A valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential for this role.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• A commitment to ethical practice and professional growth, including staying updated on best practices in mental health counseling.

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with coordination of care and crisis intervention.
• Familiarity with psychological testing methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in group therapy facilitation and patient advocacy within diverse populations.
