The expected base salary range for this position is $52,470-$81,500. This salary range may vary based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, and geographic location.
JOB SUMMARY: The UX Designer supports the design, testing, and improvement of user experiences across our suite of clinical research products. This role helps creating solutions that enable clinical researchers and their teams to work efficiently and effectively throughout the clinical trial process.
The UX Designer acts as a customer advocate, learning more about user needs and bringing those insights into the design work. This role collaborates closely with Engineering, Product Management, Product Training, Client Care, Marketing, and other creative departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Contribute to the creation of user-centered designs for products, ensuring solutions are in line with company goals and user needs.
  • Assist in the development of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes-primarily using Figma-for review and usability testing.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Product Training, and Client Care to understand requirements and share design solutions.
  • Support user and customer interviews, helping to gather and synthesize insights for design improvements.
  • Participate in the process of building and maintaining the design system for consistency across the product suite.
  • Help develop user personas, journey maps, and workflows alongside experienced team members and business analysts.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting usability tests, and share feedback and findings with the team.
  • Present design concepts to internal teams, incorporating feedback into work.
  • Work with developers to clarify design intent and support UI implementation as needed.
  • Stay up to date on UX best practices and contribute ideas for improving team workflows or user experience.
  • Participate in Agile team meetings and collaborate on group projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Design (such as Graphic Design or Interaction Design), Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 years of experience (including relevant internships or coursework) in UX/UI design for digital applications or products.
  • Must have portfolio showcasing UX/UI work, class projects, or case studies.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma (preferred), Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Sketch, or Axure.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative user research methods, with the ability to extract actionable insights for design optimization.
  • Ability to prioritize and support multiple product design projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, open-minded approach to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to ask clarifying questions.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is helpful.
  • Experience working in Agile teams or familiarity with JIRA is a plus.
  • Ability to write clear and concise copy for user interfaces.
  • Experience in healthcare or clinical trial industry is preferred.
