The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, reflecting our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent.

About the Organization

El Centro Behavioral Center is committed to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals facing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and family dynamics. Our mission is to provide holistic and culturally competent mental health support that empowers clients to achieve their goals. We pride ourselves on maintaining a collaborative and supportive work environment where our counselors can thrive.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, enabling you to maintain a work-life balance while providing essential services from the comfort of your own home. While our counselors work independently, they are never isolated; our supportive infrastructure includes regular team check-ins, case consultations, and resources aimed at reducing non-clinical burdens for therapists. Together, we reflect our core values of collaboration, accountability, and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical consultation to fellow staff members regarding diverse mental health issues, tailoring insights to suit various patient populations, including geriatric clients and those dealing with substance use disorders.
  • Interpret social histories and effectively communicate critical information about patients and their families to ensure all team members, including external providers, understand their unique needs.
  • Become a key planner in developing and recommending individualized patient care plans, particularly considering the client's home environment and socioeconomic factors.
  • Regularly assess treatment efficacy, diligently reviewing cases and planning therapeutic strategies that align with clinical best practices.
  • Complete progress notes swiftly yet thoroughly following each session, ensuring accurate documentation that contributes to seamless continuity of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending training and workshops, contributing to case discussions, and performing additional duties as assigned by the clinical lead.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of patients, including adults facing complex mental health challenges, elderly clients requiring geriatric assessments, and individuals grappling with substance use disorders. Your approach will be informed by a strong understanding of developmental, cultural, and environmental factors affecting mental health, allowing you to create tailored interventions and support diverse populations.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • A current, independent license is mandatory: LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Strong capability in accurately documenting clinical interactions and treatment progress in real-time.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy, cultural competency, and critical thinking in clinical situations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a variety of clinical settings, particularly in outpatient or community health.
  • Prior experience with case management, multidisciplinary teamwork, and providing supervision to interns or junior therapists is a plus.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • 401(k) with matching contributions
  • Dental and health insurance
  • Disability and life insurance
  • Access to an employee assistance program for personal and professional support
  • Generous paid time off to ensure necessary work-life balance

By joining El Centro Behavioral Center, you open the door to professional growth in a supportive and innovative environment. We actively encourage continuing education, providing financial support for certifications, workshops, and courses that advance your skill set and career trajectory. Leadership positions are available for those interested in shaping the direction of our mental health programming.

Why Join Our Team
