Position Summary

The Premium Prep Cook is responsible for the preparation of highquality food items for premium clubs, suites, and catering operations throughout the venue. This role focuses exclusively on backofhouse food production, including ingredient preparation, recipe execution, portioning, and maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards. The Premium Prep Cook must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled based on business needs. This position is based at Polar Park in Worcester, Massachusetts, home of the Worcester Red Sox. Polar Park is a modern ballpark and community space that hosts baseball games, special events, and yearround activities.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$22.00.

This position will remain open until June 19, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing highquality, fresh food products in a timely manner to support production for premium areas, suites, and catering needs.
  • Prepares hot and cold food items following company recipes, preparation methods, and portioning requirements.
  • Participates as a team player with responsibilities related to food preparation, organization, and efficient execution of backofhouse operations.
  • Reports any maintenance or repair needs for kitchen equipment to management.
  • Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas, following all foodhandling and HACCP guidelines.
  • Observes, labels, and properly stores foods to ensure freshness, quality, and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Accurately portions, packages, and organizes prepared ingredients for use by culinary and service teams.
  • Coordinates with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor regarding production needs, prep lists, and menu planning requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Qualifications
  • Previous cook or prep cook experience.
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment to including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
  • ServSafe preferred.
