Our Internal Audit department is currently seeking motivated candidates for an associate internal auditor with a data analytics focus. This role provides exceptional opportunities for professional development through broad exposure to the people, processes, systems, and technologies that drive our business. Beginning your career in Internal Audit offers a strong foundation in risk management, internal controls, business operations, and data analytics while creating visibility across the organization and positioning you for future career growth.

This position plays a key role in leveraging data to enhance audit effectiveness, identify risks, and provide meaningful business insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and interest in applying data-driven approaches to risk assessment, audit testing, and continuous monitoring activities.

This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.

The starting pay for this position is $65,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • assist in the planning, development, and execution of risk-based audit engagements
  • conduct audits and reviews of business processes, evaluating risks, controls, and operational effectiveness
  • analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and potential risk indicators
  • support audit engagements through data extraction, validation, analysis, and reporting
  • build, maintain, and enhance analytics solutions, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, SAS, SQL, or similar platforms
  • partner with Internal Auditors to incorporate data analytics into audit testing and risk assessment activities
  • help drive continuous auditing and continuous monitoring initiatives through the use of data analytics and automation
  • identify, document, and communicate audit findings; recommend practical solutions and monitor remediation efforts
  • partner with and support external auditors throughout audit engagements
  • prepare audit reports and present findings and recommendations to management
  • contribute to departmental planning activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • support special projects, investigations, and other ad hoc assignments as needed
  • collaborate with business partners across the organization to gain an understanding of key processes, controls, data sources, and risks
  • stay informed of industry trends, regulatory developments, emerging analytics tools, and internal audit best practices
  • work onsite at our Headquarters in Fairfield (minimum 80% onsite; remaining time remote)

Be equipped with:

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bring education and experience from:

  • a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 (required)

Preferred candidates may also have:

  • internship, co-op, project-based, or professional experience in data analytics, auditing, accounting, finance, risk management, or a related business function
  • experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, or similar analytical tools through professional, academic, internship, or project-based work 
  • experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization and business intelligence tools
  • experience developing dashboards, reports, or analytics solutions to support business decision-making
  • knowledge of data extraction, automation, continuous monitoring, or audit analytics techniques
  • familiarity with internal audit, risk management, compliance, or business process analysis
