Night Auditor

Job Summary

A Night Auditor is responsible for greeting guests upon arrival and ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. The primary focus of a Night Auditor is to engage with guests in a caring and positive manner, using active listening skills to understand and address their needs and preferences. The Night Auditor also performs nightly hotel accounting reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Display empathy and active listening skills in all guest interactions.
  • Manage the registration process by confirming guest information, acknowledging noted preferences, providing room keys, and offering luggage assistance.
  • Tailor interactions to meet guests’ needs based on available data.
  • Understand and be familiar with hotel room inventory to manage and allocate rooms based on availability and guest preferences.
  • Respond accurately to inquiries, providing knowledgeable information about hotel features and general services.
  • Address guest issues with compassion, implementing appropriate service recovery measures.
  • Perform general cashiering duties.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete end-of-day reconciliation and business closing reports.
  • Provide a detailed pass-down report for the next shift.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements:

  • Previous experience in front desk or customer service roles, with a professional presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
