Job description

This position is onsite in Huntsville AL at Redstone Arsenal. $3,000 Relocation Assistance Junior Software Developer We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to support the development and maintenance of software applications that enable data-driven and operational systems. This role is ideal for early-career developers who are eager to grow their technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, cloud-enabled environment.
You will contribute to application development efforts, gain exposure to modern development practices, and receive mentorship while building secure, reliable software solutions. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications
Contribute to backend development using Java or C#/.NET
Support development of APIs and service-based components
Assist with front-end development tasks and UI enhancements as needed
Work with relational databases to support application functionality
Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and development best practices
Learn and follow secure coding standards and organizational development guidelines
Collaborate with senior developers, DevOps, and other team members
Support troubleshooting, bug fixes, and performance improvements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Approximately 3 years of software development experience (internships and co-ops may count)
Hands-on experience with one of the following: Java
C# / .NET Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
