Job description

Description

This program is designed for students that would like to get practical experience in the real work-force. Students will be exposed to various positions of Kimble's Food and will be able to gain hands on experience. Upon successfully completing the internship program, students will receive a certificate of completion as well as the possibility of full-time employment.

Basic Program Outline (depending on area of study- more time may be designated to one department over the others) runs 10-12 weeks:


Customer Support

Picking/Packing

Warehouse/ Receiving/Route Driving

Accounting

Project Management


Final evaluation done by President of the company/Internship mentor

Students are required to submit a 3-4 page report or Power-point presentation summarizing what he/she learned during the internship and any suggestions before the final evaluation

Requirements

  • Be a U.S. citizen at the time of application;
  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Be enrolled in an accredited academic institution on at least a part-time basis, pursuing a baccalaureate or graduate degree;
  • Be in good academic standing with at least a 3.0 GPA;
  • Be a college junior, senior, or graduate student with at least 60 credit hours completed;
