Position Summary

As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, reporting, and financial management of all inventory across the organization. This role serves as a critical bridge between Operations, Sales, Merchandising and Accounting, ensuring inventory is not only operationally efficient, but also accurately represented, forecasted, and valued.

You will own inventory reporting, reconciliation, and valuation processes, while driving improvements in systems, automation, and data visibility. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate inventory data into actionable business insights. This role will work directly with our offshore team who will be managing the actual order writeup and placement.

Inventory Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly or as needed inventory reporting, including:
    • Inventory levels and availability
    • Inventory velocity and turnover
    • Aging, excess, and slow-moving inventory
    • Client-specific inventory performance
  • Develop and maintain inventory dashboards through NetSuite
  • Analyze data to support forecasting, replenishment planning, and business decision-making
  • Provide insights to Operations and Sales on inventory trends, risks, and opportunities

Inventory Valuation & Financial Oversight

  • Manage and monitor inventory valuation, including Pinnacle-Owned Inventory tracking and adherence to contract limits
  • Manage inventory sales pipeline
  • Partner with Accounting to support month-end close and reconciliations
  • Identify and manage excess, obsolete, and at-risk inventory, including recommendations for write-offs or optimization
  • Validate inventory data impacting COGS, margins, and financial reporting

Order & Replenishment Management

  • Oversee inventory reorder processes, and ensure timely placement of orders by offshore team
  • Monitor low stock and demand signals to ensure timely and accurate replenishment

Systems, Data & Automation

  • Serve as system owner for inventory platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Arcade, ERP tools)
  • Manage and maintain product and inventory data accuracy across systems
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of inventory automation and replenishment tools
  • Partner with IT to improve system integrations, reporting capabilities, and process workflows
  • Document processes and lead training for system updates and enhancements

Cross-Functional Leadership & Projects

  • Order and replenish management of offshore team
  • Act as the primary inventory liaison across Operations, Sales, Merchandise and Accounting
  • Communicate inventory insights and reporting to business stakeholders
  • Support and lead special projects, system implementations, and process improvements
Requirements:

Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree required
Minimum of 3 years of inventory management experience
Preferred to have experience with ERP & eCommerce platforms, such as NetSuite, Magento, Shopify, etc

Working knowledge of project management applications such as Asana, and proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Effective project management skills, strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multi-tasking ability as well as ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
High energy / can do attitude.
