What is an Internship Perfect Pitch?

An Internship Perfect Pitch is a concise and compelling introduction that students or recent graduates use to present themselves to potential employers or recruiters when seeking internships. The pitch typically highlights your skills, educational background, career interests, and what makes you a strong fit for a particular internship role. It is usually delivered verbally during networking events, career fairs, or interviews and should last about 30–60 seconds. Crafting an effective pitch helps you make a memorable impression and can increase your chances of landing an internship opportunity.

What types of projects can interns expect to work on during a Perfect Pitch internship, and how are responsibilities typically assigned?

During a Perfect Pitch internship, interns often contribute to developing and refining presentations or proposals for clients, conduct market research, and assist in brainstorming sessions with senior team members. Responsibilities are typically assigned based on both the intern's strengths and areas where they can grow, with regular feedback provided by mentors. Interns usually collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and creative teams, gaining exposure to the end-to-end pitch process and real client interactions. This hands-on experience helps interns build strong communication and project management skills, while also providing valuable insights into the business development process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Internship Perfect Pitch presenter, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Internship Perfect Pitch presenter, you need strong communication skills, a clear understanding of the company and role, and the ability to articulate your value proposition concisely. Familiarity with presentation tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides and knowledge of common business frameworks are often helpful. Confidence, active listening, and adaptability are key soft skills that help you engage effectively with your audience. These abilities are crucial for making a memorable impression, demonstrating your fit for the role, and maximizing your chances of securing the internship.

Job description

About Us:
DailyPay is transforming the way people get paid. As a worktech company and the industry's leading on demand pay solution, DailyPay uses an award-winning technology platform to help America's top employers build stronger relationships with their employees. This voluntary employee benefit enables workers everywhere to feel more motivated to work harder and stay longer on the job while supporting their financial well-being outside of the workplace.
DailyPay is headquartered in New York City, with operations throughout the United States as well as in Belfast. For more information, visit DailyPay's Press Center.
The Role:
Are you a driven, curious graduate looking to launch a high-growth career in tech sales? We are looking for a Graduate Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team and help build DailyPay's sales pipeline.
As a BDR, you won't be flying solo. You will work directly with a dedicated manager and our Account Executive team to learn the ropes of enterprise sales, securing appointments with qualified companies and mastering the art of the pitch.
No prior sales experience? No problem. We care more about your drive, curiosity, and work ethic than a long resume. We provide comprehensive, hands-on training and a structured mentorship program to give you all the tools you need to succeed.
If you're excited about this opportunity but worried your background isn't a perfect 100% match, apply anyway! We hire for potential, not just past titles.
How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Master the Product: Become a DailyPay specialist through our intensive graduate training program, transforming you into an expert brand ambassador.
  • Build the Pipeline: Research markets and prospect new enterprise clients via creative outreach (phone, email, and social selling).
  • Drive the Conversation: Learn how to qualify business opportunities, confidently handle objections, and generate high-quality sales leads.
  • Deliver Experience: Help provide a consultative, customer-focused sales experience from the very first touchpoint.
  • Innovate: Collaborate on and help execute fresh, new lead-generation projects and campaigns.

What You Bring to the Team:
  • Recent Graduate: A completed Bachelor's degree (especially degrees in Business, Marketing, Communications etc.)
  • Natural Relationship Builder: You are a strong communicator who loves meeting new people and can initiate engaging conversations.
  • Results-Oriented & Gritty: You are highly motivated, resourceful, and possess a healthy competitive drive-whether you picked that up in the classroom, in student organizations, or on a sports team.
  • Adaptable Learner: You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and view feedback as a tool for rapid personal growth.
  • Tech-Savy (or Ready to Learn): Familiarity with tech tools or CRM systems is a plus, but we will fully train you on our tech stack.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Any previous internships or part-time experience in sales, customer service, retail, or hospitality.
  • Leadership roles in university clubs, societies, or sports teams.
  • A baseline interest in HR, payroll, fintech, or corporate finance.

What We Offer:
  • Exceptional health, vision, and dental care
  • A structured career path with clear milestones for promotion into closing roles.
  • Opportunity for equity ownership
  • Life and AD&D, short- and long-term disability
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Employee Resource Groups
  • Fun company outings and events
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 401K with company match

High-performing cultures aren't built in silos, they thrive on partnership. At DailyPay, we Commit Together to an inclusive, professional environment where multifaceted perspectives are our greatest competitive advantage. We recognize that our team members don't live "single-issue lives," and we lean into the wide-ranging backgrounds and life stages that sharpen our collective decision-making.
In our high-trust environment, we empower you to Challenge Norms. We've created a space where it is safe to ask difficult questions, disrupt the status quo, and share bold perspectives without fear of professional fallout. We believe that by checking our own assumptions and staying curious about the experiences of others, we arrive at better, more innovative results.
We provide the space for you to do your best work through peer advocacy and transparent career development. If you are looking for a culture that values intellectual honesty, celebrates the unique lived experiences of its people, and thrives on collective success, you'll find it here.
