Can I make $200 a year in cyber security?

Internship PCS Security roles typically do not pay $200 annually, as cybersecurity internships and entry-level positions usually offer higher compensation or stipends. Earning a small amount like $200 per year is unlikely, and most cybersecurity jobs require skills in network security, certifications, and practical experience to increase earning potential.

What are Internship PCS Security positions?

Internship PCS Security positions are entry-level roles designed for students or recent graduates interested in gaining practical experience in Process Control Systems (PCS) security. These internships typically involve assisting in the assessment, monitoring, and implementation of security measures for industrial control systems in sectors like manufacturing, energy, or utilities. Interns may work alongside experienced security professionals to learn about cyber threats, risk assessments, and protective technologies specific to PCS environments. The goal is to provide hands-on exposure to cybersecurity best practices within operational technology (OT) systems. These roles can be a valuable stepping stone to a career in industrial cybersecurity.

How do I get a job in cyber security with no experience?

To pursue an internship in PCS Security or similar cybersecurity roles with no experience, focus on building foundational knowledge through online courses, certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Cisco's CCNA, and gaining hands-on skills with tools such as Wireshark or Kali Linux. Entry-level positions often value relevant certifications, self-led projects, and a strong understanding of networking and security principles.

How much do you get paid for being an intern at cyber security?

Interns in cybersecurity typically earn between $15 and $25 per hour, depending on the company, location, and level of experience. Paid internships often include opportunities to develop skills with tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security protocols, and may require a background in computer science or related fields.

What types of projects or tasks can I expect to work on during an Internship in PC Security?

As an intern in PC Security, you can expect to be involved in a variety of hands-on tasks, such as assisting with vulnerability assessments, monitoring network and endpoint security alerts, and participating in incident response activities. You may also help with researching and implementing new security tools, updating security documentation, and supporting the IT team in enforcing security policies. Interns often work closely with cybersecurity analysts and IT professionals, providing valuable exposure to real-world security challenges and the opportunity to develop technical and teamwork skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Internship PCS Security, and why are they important?

To thrive as an intern in PCS (Physical and Cyber Security), you need foundational knowledge in IT security principles, risk assessment, and basic networking, often supported by relevant coursework or training. Familiarity with common security tools, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems, as well as pursuing certifications like CompTIA Security+, is valuable. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are important soft skills for this role. These skills and qualities are crucial for identifying vulnerabilities, supporting security initiatives, and working collaboratively to protect organizational assets.

Job description

Job Details:Job Description:

Intel is opening a Segment Product Manager role to help define and deliver the Computers for Agents product line - a new category of agent-native compute platforms spanning consumer mini, desktop developer, and multi-tenant workstation form factors. This person will own end-to-end product definition for a single segment (consumer or enterprise) within the Computers for Agents portfolio, working across silicon, software stack, OEM partners, and ecosystem to ship vertically integrated solutions that compete head-on in the emerging agent compute category.
You will operate at the intersection of CPU and discrete GPU silicon, a multi-layer software stack (OS, runtime, security, orchestration, marketplace, UX), and segment go-to-market across consumer, SMB, and enterprise. Your work will directly shape Intel's answer to agent compute and influence significant OEM design wins and channel programs.
This role reports into the PC Growth Segment team and partners closely with engineering leads across the SW stack, architecture, IT, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Own product definition for Computers for Agents across segments - PRD co-authoring, silicon SKU selection, software stack composition, form factor targeting, and pricing.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment across CPU and GPU silicon teams, software teams (runtime, security, orchestration), and segment marketing on a single integrated solution narrative.

  • Lead OEM partner conversations - translate platform capability into design win commitments and joint reference architectures.

  • Partner with Intel IT and lighthouse enterprise customers on POCs that validate vertical integration claims (IT operations, DevOps, regulated industry workloads).

  • Build and maintain the model memory silicon mapping that anchors segment positioning and informs OEM platform decisions.

  • Synthesize competitive intelligence on agent platforms, accelerator-class workstations, integrated AI PCs, and open-source agent framework momentum into product strategy.

  • Drive convergence across internal SW workstreams (multiple parallel agent stacks) into a single corporate reference solution per segment.

  • Present product strategy and roadmap to senior leadership; carry the segment story externally to OEMs, ISVs, and at industry events.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related academic field.

  • 6+ years of product management experience with a Bachelor's degree, 4+ with a Master's, or 2+ with a PhD - at least half of those years in a platform, SoC, or system-level product role.

  • Demonstrated experience defining and shipping a hardware-anchored software platform or vertically integrated solution.

  • Working knowledge of modern LLM inference (model sizing, context length, memory bandwidth, KV cache, quantization) and agent harness frameworks.

  • Experience writing PRDs that span silicon, OS, runtime, security, and application layers.

  • Track record of driving cross-functional alignment across silicon, software, and go-to-market organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with agent harness frameworks, model context protocols, or local model serving runtimes.

  • Prior OEM partner management experience with top-tier PC OEMs.

  • Background in workstation, mini PC, or accelerator product categories.

  • Experience with hardware-rooted security (confidential compute, virtualization-based isolation, attestation) as a product differentiator.

  • Familiarity with the add-in-board channel and discrete GPU product lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate engineering complexity into executive-level narratives and customer-facing collateral.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, building from a blank-page product definition, and converging multiple parallel internal workstreams.

We invite you to bring your expertise, creativity, and passion to Intel and help define the agent compute category. Apply today to join the team shaping Intel's answer to the next decade of personal and professional AI computing.
