Job description

Duties * Enterprise IT Policy and Advanced Architecture Security. * Enterprise Policy and Advanced Threat Analysis. * Enterprise Policy Implementation and Strategic Oversight.

More information on PCS requirements, may be found at: https://afciviliancareers.com/regulatory/ * This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program * Disclosure of Political Appointments * Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. * Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. * Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the office/location. * Travel may include overnight stays.

* Position is Centrally Managed by the Cyberspace and Information Technology CFT. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology (IT) Management Series, GS-2210 EXPERIENCE: Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving AND one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12 (or equivalent in other pay systems) which includes proficient in total infrastructure protection environment, systems security certification and accreditation requirements and processes, and Federal information systems security protocols; information systems security principles and concepts, the OAF enterprise IT architecture, new IT security developments, and project management methods; sufficient to integrate information systems security with other security disciplines to protect the OAF enterprise network and its advanced architectures. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.

One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: * Knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, and practices in applying a wide range of IT/communications security systems and IA concepts, principles, practices, and methodology found both in the Government and private industry. * Knowledge of a broad range of enterprise network security systems and operations with emphasis on network security. * Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures to include maintaining control of classified material.

* Knowledge and understanding of agency, AF, Department of Defense (DoD), and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned program(s) and/or project(s). * Knowledge of OAF and DoD IT/communications security and IA systems infrastructure and trends in present and emerging technology, capabilities, and functionality. * Knowledge of IT systems development, life-cycle management, acquisition, documentation, and rigorous application of security program concepts, techniques, policies, and principles.

* Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, investigate, and resolve complex issues or problems. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in order to produce highly technical reports, position papers, and briefings which are appropriate for the intended audience; and to maintain good working relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
