Job description

Job Summary:
As a Parts and Service Representative Intern, I would provide technical support to customers by helping identify equipment issues, assisting in troubleshooting machine problems, and guiding customers to the appropriate replacement parts. This role would involve communicating effectively with customers to understand their needs, learning the specifications and updates of various machines, and supporting the service team in delivering timely solutions. I would also gain experience maintaining high standards of safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and operational procedures while developing technical knowledge and customer service skills in a professional manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Excellent understanding of product lines and mechanical parts.
  • Process parts, sales orders and other associated tasks.
  • Assure that all customers’ problems are handled with minimal delay.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and give verbal instructions.
  • Increase part sales with dealers and customers.
  • Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, work orders, or historic troubleshooting notes.
  • Answer customer questions about parts on their specific make and model of machine.
  • Recommend parts or services to customers based on their needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints through internal channels in a professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Sales background preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
  • Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
  • Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
  • Occasionally lift 30 pounds
