Job description

HVAC Technician - Commercial & Industrial Systems
Location: Marion, Ohio
Salary Range: $37,500 - $78,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
Area Energy & Electric, Inc. is hiring a skilled HVAC Technician to install, service, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at commercial and industrial locations. This full-time role offers hands-on work with advanced HVAC equipment and opportunities for career growth in a safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and split systems
  • Modify and install ductwork for commercial and industrial applications
  • Perform installation and startup of ductless heat pump systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC components and controls
  • Interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, and client specifications
  • Ensure compliance with job site safety protocols and company safety orientation

Required Qualifications
  • Universal EPA refrigerant license
  • 06A license (preferred)
  • PTCS Duct Seal and Commissioning certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and specifications
  • Strong understanding of HVAC safety procedures and best practices
  • Reliable, efficient, and able to work well in team environments
  • Must complete OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire (company-funded)
