Construction Safety Professional โ€“ Data Center Project

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming Pay: $40โ€“$50 per hour (based on experience) Job Type: Full-Time | Project-Based

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to join our team on a large-scale data center construction project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The ideal candidate will be a proactive safety leader with experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction environments. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture across the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and field observations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety policies.
  • Lead new hire safety orientations and daily toolbox talks.
  • Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, inspections, and training records.
  • Work closely with project management, subcontractors, and craft personnel to identify and eliminate hazards.
  • Monitor high-risk activities, including crane operations, excavation, confined space, fall protection, hot work, and electrical safety.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and employee engagement.
  • Participate in owner and contractor safety meetings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3โ€“5 years of construction safety experience.
  • Previous experience on data center, industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial construction projects preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and construction safety best practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk active construction sites daily.

Preferred Certifications

  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • OSHA 500/510
  • EM 385-1-1 experience is a plus
