Job description
This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted levels 13/14, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise.
The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, gathering requirements, and ensuring projects deliver solutions that align with organizational objectives. The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers, translating business requirements into actionable project deliverables. They ensure that projects comply with regulatory standards, operational priorities, and evolving market needs.
ResponsibilitiesRequirements & Business Analysis (55%):
- Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements and process flows.
- Includes: Act as a primary liaison between the end users and IT group to clarify questions during project execution. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that project outputs meet documented requirements. Work with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements. Documentation will include some or all of the following: user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, business process models, system flowcharts, wireframes/screen mockups and other supporting artifacts as needed.
Stakeholder Facilitation & Communication (20%):
- Facilitate workshops and clarify requirements between business and IT.
- Includes: Work with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements. Documentation will include some or all of the following: user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, business process models, system flowcharts, wireframes/screen mockups and other supporting artifacts as needed. Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Process Improvement (15%):
- Identify standardization and optimization opportunities.
Testing & Validation (10%):
- Support UAT planning and acceptance criteria validation.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science or related field or equivalent related work experience. (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Eighteen months of work experience in a related functional/technical area and/or comparable internship or collegiate experience for the IT PMO Business Analyst I.
Three or more years of related, progressive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related functional/technical role for the IT PMO Business Analyst II
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ADO, Jira, Visio, process modeling, design and testing tools. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to apply advanced analytical skills to solving complex business and system problems.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid). Effective interpersonal skills and customer relationship skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
