Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.

The Emergency Management + Enterprise Resilience Internship Program is a 12-week compensated summer program for undergraduate and graduate level students interested in the field of emergency management, particularly as it relates to healthcare. This opportunity is designed to expose students to the field through real-world planning and operational experience. Interns participate in meetings, drills and exercises, and planning projects under the supervision of Emergency Management staff. Interns may have the opportunity to observe functions of other departments at NYU Langone Health through the course of their internship.
The internship is minimum 30 hours a week and up to 40 hours a week, depending on availability.

Job Responsibilities:

Depending on need and interest, interns may be involved in any/all of the following projects:

* Drills, exercises or trainings (e.g., Mass Casualty Incident, Mass Decontamination, Evacuation) * Emergency Management Plan Writing * Data Management/ Entry * Hazard Vulnerability Analysis * Event/ Presentation Planning * Other administrative responsibilities, as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

* Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate level students with an interest in Emergency Management * Have a minimum of 30 hours of availability between the hours of 8am and 5pm weekdays for 10-12 weeks between May and September * Strong communication, public speaking/presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) * Ability to be flexible and work in a faced-paced, New York City environment and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously * Motivated to work independently with ability to collaborate on a team * Ability to communicate effectively in writing * Ability to make logical decisions

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate level students with an interest in Emergency Management

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $15.00 - $18.50 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
