Job description

Position Summary
Advise the Department of Media, Culture & Communication's undergraduate students on academic, career, and personal matters. Oversee and manage all aspects of the department's credited internship program. Develop and deliver innovative, dynamic student services and special events, seminars, and workshops to meet the ongoing needs of students.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Student Personnel or Counseling.
Required Experience:
3+ years experience in academic advising, career advising, or counseling students at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
Content Management System experience for website updates
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Knowledge of standard office software.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
