Our team brings together experts in neurosurgery, AI and machine learning, microfabrication, electrical engineering, clinical science, and more. We combine deep technical rigor with a people-first mindset to turn breakthrough research into real-world medical solutions.

As a Precision employee, youโ€™ll join one of the fastest-moving and best-capitalized companies in the emerging field of brainโ€“computer interfaces. Since our founding in 2021, we have raised more than $180 million, advanced our technology through validation, and initiated human trials with leading hospitals across the country.

We innovate with urgency because the stakes are high and our users canโ€™t wait.

We bring sharp minds, open ears, pairing expertise with curiosity, humility, and respect.

And we lead the way, taking ownership of our work and helping to shape the future of our field.

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support device assembly and clinical builds for our next-generation neural implants in our Addison, Texas facility.

This is a handsโ€‘on role building, assembling, and testing medical devices that are used in the clinic. Working under the direction of senior engineers, you will author and maintain process documentation (SOPs and work instructions) and contribute to yield enhancement and quality control efforts. It is an ideal role for someone who is detailโ€‘oriented, enjoys building and troubleshooting hardware, and is excited to grow into a process engineering career in a regulated medicalโ€‘device environment.

This position will be based in our Addison, TX office. We are unable to consider remote workers or individuals who are not currently based in the US and legally authorized to work in the US.

Skills & Qualification
  • Build and assemble microfabricated devices into finished headstage assemblies, including PCB and cable integration.
  • Perform basic electrical testing (continuity, impedance, functional checks) to verify device integrity.
  • Author and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI) for assembly and production processes; keep documentation accurate and current under change control.
  • Support production lot dispositions โ€” gather and organize build and inspection data, help prepare records, and assist engineers in lot review and release activities.
  • Support excursion and nonconformance handling โ€” help document deviations, participate in investigations, and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support yield enhancement and quality control efforts โ€” collect and analyze process and yield data, apply basic statistical process control (SPC), and help identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with process characterization, metrology, inspection, and inโ€‘process quality checks during builds.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow good documentation practices under the Quality Management System (QMS) for Classโ€ฏIII medical implant manufacturing.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:

  • Education + experience:
    • BS in Engineering or a related technical field + 0โ€“2 years relevant experience (internships, coโ€‘ops, research, and academic project work count)
    • MS in Engineering + 0โ€“1 years relevant experience
  • Handsโ€‘on aptitude โ€” comfortable working with tools, equipment, instrumentation, or in a lab, cleanroom, or production environment.
  • Foundational understanding of engineering fundamentals and basic data analysis and statistics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail (important for authoring SOPs and work instructions and for maintaining records).
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures precisely and to work collaboratively in a fastโ€‘paced, teamโ€‘oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow technically.
  • Good communication skills and comfort flagging issues early

Preferred:

  • Internship, coโ€‘op, or academic experience in a cleanroom, microfabrication, MEMS, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to quality systems (ISO 13485, FDA QSR / 21 CFR Part 820 / QMSR) or good documentation practices (GDP).
  • Experience with assembly of small or precision components, microscopy, or visual/dimensional inspection.
