Who You Are

You are an Jr. Signal Processing Engineer who will collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the design, development, and research of interfaces, ensuring that all subsystems are properly integrated into a fully viable, completed system. You will provide ongoing functional analysis to validate mission requirements and constraints while assessing and monitoring system performance and providing feedback to a subsystem team of teams. You will act as an advisor to the customer, providing them with the results they need to inform mission critical decisions.

What You'll Do

As a JR Signal Processing Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and apply software tools in MATLAB to calculate pertinent product metrics like SNR, optical blur response, sensor motion, collection quantity, circular error, and atmosphere impacts
  • Organize results in database products, software packages and PowerPoint slides and present findings to stakeholders
  • Learn and develop a thorough understanding of MATLAB code/scripts used to model electro-optical system components including but not limited to focal planes, optics and atmospherics
  • Set up and execution of MATLAB based models, reviewing and error checking model results
  • Be accessible to senior engineers, customers and stakeholders to answer questions and report on progress
  • Use standard engineering processes to carry out assignments associated with research, design, development or analysis of specific parts, components, interfaces, or minor phases of a project
  • Plan, direct and coordinate engineering functions involved in the design and development, installation, testing and integration of systems and subsystems
  • Direct or conduct research studies necessary for the improvement or reconfiguration of systems or subsystems
  • Serve as the customer interface and organizational consultant on significant issues requiring technical guidance, redirection or resolution
  • Assist in compiling and preparing comprehensive technical reports and proposals; may participate as a team member of multiple teams; may act as primary intra-organizational liaison
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully obtain a CI Polygraph
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops applicable)
  • Experience with MATLABsignal processing capabilities
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who can partner with multiple teammates
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exposure to the system design trade process, assessing system design options, analyzing mission requirements, monitoring vehicle development and test, conops development, and tracking requirement verification
