The Department of Counseling and Higher Education in the Patton College of Education at Ohio University invites applications for part-time, non-tenure track (Group III) instructional positions. We are accepting applications for potential course openings in the Counselor Education programs for the Spring and Summer semesters of the 2025-2026 academic year.
To apply, please submit the following materials:
• A cover letter specifying your availability to teach during the designated semesters.
• A current curriculum vitae.
• Contact information for at least two professional references (including email addresses).
• One to two sets of recent teaching evaluations (if available). Should be uploaded as one "other" document.

Job Description
Instructors selected from this pool will teach courses within the Department of Counseling and Higher Education. Courses may include foundations of counseling, group counseling, ethics, assessment, multicultural counseling, career counseling, practicum or internship supervision, and other program-specific offerings depending on departmental needs. Courses may be online, in-person, or hybrid.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Counselor Education (preferably from a CACREP-accredited program) or a closely related field from an accredited institution (required at the time of appointment).
  • Demonstrated experience teaching or supervising counseling students.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in higher education counseling programs.
  • Familiarity with CACREP accreditation standards.
  • Willingness to teach across multiple modalities (online, hybrid, in person).
