Job description

  1. Position Purpose

To support, coordinate, monitor, and maintain duties related to STARS largest fundraising gala. Support the efforts of the development and communications team.

  1. Essential Functions - Specific Job Responsibilities

The Fundraising & Events Intern will play a key role in supporting our largest annual fundraising event while also assisting with general development and organizational functions. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, event planning, donor engagement, and day-to-day operations?ideal for a student or early professional interested in nonprofit management, communications, or development. This position supports Team Development in the following areas:

  • Assist with planning, logistics, and coordination for the organization?s largest fundraising event
  • Support donor, sponsor, and attendee communications
  • Help track auction items and event materials
  • Assist with event setup, day-of coordination, and post-event follow-up
  • Support data entry and reporting related to event outcomes
  • Based on the needs and direction of the Communications Coordinators, create design content and production across all media platforms
  • Support the coordination of event marketing for annual fundraiser and smaller events throughout the year
  • Support volunteer events during the internship timeframe.
