Medical Malpractice Claims Examiner - Portsmouth, NH Insurance Claims Examiner Adjuster Specialist Professional Liability Medical Malpractice MedMal Allied Healthcare _ . REMOTE - WORK FROM HOME MAY BE AVAILABLE Manage defense and disposition of medical malpractice and dental malpractice claims within National Claims Guidelines. โ€ข Investigate pre-suit claims related to medical malpractice, general liability, and coverage and benefits.

โ€ข Set reserves based on total loss exposure and probabilities of different outcomes for claims disposition; conduct quarterly reserve reviews. โ€ข Develop strategic case management and action plan steps with outside counsel. โ€ข Retain and direct defense counsel when early disposition is not appropriate or possible; monitor legal fees, costs and settlement expenses.

โ€ข Analyze and prepare responses to discovery requests, including interrogatories and requests for production of documents. โ€ข Monitor case status and outside counsel compliance with litigation guidelines. โ€ข Attend depositions, hearings, settlement conferences and trials.

โ€ข Negotiate disposition of claims including selection and retention of medical experts and negotiation with claimants and their attorneys.
