We have a client in Amsterdam who are looking for Linux Engineering talent and would facilitate everything for you! About the Role A high-performance trading environment relies on exceptional infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join a team that ensures the reliability and performance of one of the most advanced bare-metal server environments in the industry. You will work in a low-latency, high-throughput production environment where systems must perform at peak efficiency at all times. The team's mission is to design, deploy, monitor, and operate a fleet of high-performance UNIX serversโ€”ensuring the platform remains stable, secure, and optimized for demanding market conditions.

You will work closely with software engineers, network engineers, and hardware teams to build and maintain a platform that supports mission-critical operations. Build automation tools and solutions to improve system observability, availability, and operational efficiency. Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents; act swiftly to maintain platform stability. Own performance monitoring and capacity planning across a large fleet of bare-metal systems.

Drive infrastructure improvements by bridging gaps between hardware and software teams. Explore and implement emerging technologies to maintain best-in-class system performance. Take initiative on infrastructure projects and contribute to long-term architectural decisions.

What We're Looking For Minimum 6 years of experience managing large-scale Linux/UNIX server environments in a performance-critical context. Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals and system-level debugging. Proficient in Python and passionate about automation and tooling development.

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code , preferably with Ansible . Comfortable in fast-paced, high-performance computing environments. Strong grasp of networking , virtualization technologies, and hardware-software integration.

What You'll Get Fully covered relocation assistance, including sign on bonus, relocation cost coverage and an apartment close to the city centre and office provided for the first few months. Full Visa sponsorship, covering costs and logistics of acquiring one. Opportunity to work in Amsterdam with highly skilled engineers from more than 40 nationalities.

On-site perks including breakfast, lunch, and access to fitness and wellness programs. Ongoing training opportunities and support for attending technical conferences. Relocation support and visa sponsorship where required.
