Department Overview:
The Department of Kinesiology provides the opportunity to earn degrees at the BA, BS, and MS level. Students are prepared for a variety of careers including athletic training, exercise physiology, physical education, sport management/sport administration, and sports medicine. Our students benefit from small classes, opportunities to conduct research, and internships at both local and out-of-state locations. Kinesiology students also have access to state-of-the-art labs including the Human Performance Lab, the Human Motion Analysis Lab, and the Motor Behavior Lab.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Using the course outline as a guide, develop relevant syllabi in order to deploy course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment.
  • Contribute to student success by providing consistent and effective support and being available to the students for their questions and needs.
  • Teach in person and/or online depending upon course schedules and department needs.

Required Qualifications for Undergraduate courses:
  • Masters in a relevant discipline to the Kinesiology undergraduate major; Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Sport Management, and Sports Medicine.
  • Full time or part-time employment in an area related to the Kinesiology undergraduate major.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification and/or continuing professional education relevant to the kinesiology discipline.
  • Experience teaching both online and in person courses.

Required Qualifications for Graduate courses:
  • Masters in a relevant discipline to the Kinesiology graduate major; Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, and Sport Administration.
  • Full time or part-time employment in an area related to the Kinesiology graduate major.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification and/or continuing professional education relevant to the kinesiology discipline.
  • Experience teaching both online and in person courses.
