McNeese State University invites qualified applicants for the position of Instructor of Kinesiology in the Department of Kinesiology in the Burton College of Education. This is a full-time, 9-month, unclassified non-tenure-track position. The appointment is available in August (Fall) 2026.

Position Duties/Responsibilities
The Kinesiology Instructor is responsible for functions related to teaching 15 hours of undergrad and/or graduate (if applicable) courses involving the skills of a physical medicine professional and general knowledge involved with kinesiology related fields. The Kinesiology Instructor will work closely with other faculty members of the Kinesiology department, undergraduate and graduate students within the Kinesiology department, as well as community partnerships.The Kinesiology Instructor will be responsible for advising kinesiology undergrad, and possibly graduate students if applicable, across 2-4 concentrations within the Kinesiology department, as well as serve on departmental and university committees. The Kinesiology Instructor will be responsible for participating in recruiting events within an academic year. Annual professional development is expected regardless of certification and/or licensure status.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
Required:
  • Master's or greater in a Kinesiology field of Physical Medicine (Athletic Training, Chiropractic Medicine, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or similar) or master's or greater in Kinesiology or related field with a valid license or certification in a physical medicine setting.

Preferred:
  • Additional certifications related to Kinesiology
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Experience as a mentor or supervisor in the physical medicine setting
  • Experience with recruitment
