Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Assist with Employee Housing - Conduct weekly/bi-weekly house inspections and other tasks such as replenishing household stock for the beginning of the season arrivals
  • Provide support to Human Resources Department
  • Perform HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance
  • Filter Human Resource department phone calls
  • Assist with J1 Visa Program and Internship program
  • Assist with Recruiting:
    • Assist in screening forms and resumes of applicants.
    • Plan and schedule interviews with candidates
    • Perform reference and background checks
  • Assist with employee on-boarding - Creating new personnel files and other tasks
  • Assist with bi-weekly New employee orientation:
    • Send emails to participants
    • Prepare materials for orientation
    • Coordinate pickups and drops off for international students
    • Coordinate activities
  • Conduct research for projects and as requested
  • Assist with policy and legal research and recommendations.
  • Projects to include: Creating interview guides, Employee Files Organization, job descriptions, help develop company surveys, KHK Training programs and site.
  • Assist other departments as needed when assigned
  • All other duties as assigned

Education, & Experience
  • Current enrollment in a college program focusing on Human Resources, Business Management or related field
  • 0 - 2 years of related HR experience, customer service experience, communications, social media, or office experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Advanced in Excel

  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees,
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
  • Must maintain confidentiality in all matters

Working Conditions
  • The work environment for this position is generally an indoor controlled environment. Noise level is moderate; expect noises like office machines and light traffic.
  • May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company's in-season time period.
  • May be requested to drive company vehicle to other locations.

Physical Requirements
About 1/3 of one's time will be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. 1/3 to 2/3 of one's time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Expect to lift up to 25 lbs. Some other physical demands come from continuous computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events work, and mail order work.
