Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

At First Citizens Bank, the newly formed International Solutions Team plays a
pivotal role in advancing the global banking franchise of all our brands includingFirst Citizens Bank, Silicon Valley Bank and CIT, by supporting both the strategic expansion of the bank and the international operating needs of our clients as they scale globally.

The Senior Analyst, International Solutions Strategy & Insights will play a critical role in helping First Citizens Bank advance its international banking strategy. This versatile individual will combine hands-on data analytics, market insight, strategic thinking, and cross-functional engagement to surface revenue growth opportunities, improve visibility into international client behavior, and support the development of holistic global banking solutions.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded analyst to gain exposure to international banking, cross-border payments, liquidity management, FX, trade finance and help create real business value through insights, analytics, solution ideation, and go to market enablement.

Leveraging one of our hubs in SF, NYC, Raleigh or Charlotte as a base, this hybrid role will report to the Enterprise Head of International Solutions and will be an integral part of the broader Global Banking and Markets division.


Responsibilities

Analytics, Insights & Opportunity Identification

• Coordinate international data and reporting across all international products and lines of business, to strengthen holistic visibility into global product performance and client engagement.
• Design and build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytical tools that provide actionable insights into international client activity, product usage, flows, revenue trends, and growth opportunities.
• Identify revenue growth opportunities by analyzing client behavior, international product penetration, transaction flows, wallet expansion potential, and cross-product adoption patterns.
• Partner with leadership to translate analytics into targeted client strategies, pipeline opportunities, and measurable commercial outcomes.
• Support the evolution of reporting and management information to monitor compliance with our international risk and governance framework.
• Contribute to the development of international market, competitive, and regional insights to inform geographic expansion strategy.


Strategic & Cross-Functional Initiatives

• Support and help shape the consolidation and evolution of cross-product initiatives into a prioritized international solutions roadmap.
• Support discussions with sales and product leadership to advocate for the ideation, development and commercialization of global and cross-border solutions.
• Participate in complex cross-functional enterprise-level strategic initiatives to expand global reach, optimize client experience, and improve operational scalability.
• Support cross product pricing discussions for international solutions, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Serve as connective tissue between internal stakeholders, client feedback loops, and market intelligence.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in financial services, corporate treasury, consulting, fintech, or global payments. OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in financial services, corporate treasury, consulting, fintech, or global payments.

• Strong hands-on analytics and visualization skills leveraging Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Excel modeling, and similar tools.
• Proven data synthesis skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• BS/BA in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics or 8+ years relevant experience.
• Exposure to FX, cross-border payments, liquidity, trade finance, treasury management, or international banking.
• CTP, CertICM, CFA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree/certification.

If hired in CA or NY, the base pay for this position is generally between $114,000.00 and $152,000.00 If hired in NC, the base pay for this position is generally between $95,000.00 and $126,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
