Job description

Senior Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist (Contractor)

Brooks Automation is seeking a Senior Immigration & Global Mobility Specialist (Contractor) to manage U.S. immigration processes and support global mobility activities across the organization. This role will serve as a key point of contact for employees, managers, HR, Talent Attraction, and external vendors, with primary responsibility for employment-based immigration, permanent residency cases, work authorization support, relocations, and international assignment coordination. The role will partner closely with Brooks' external immigration counsel and mobility vendors to ensure cases are handled in a timely, compliant, and employee-focused manner.

This role will partner closely with Brooks' external immigration counsel and mobility vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient processing of immigration and mobility cases globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage U.S. employment-based immigration matters, including nonimmigrant visas, permanent residency sponsorship, renewals, case tracking, document collection, and filing deadlines.
  • Partner with external immigration counsel on case strategy, filings, status updates, escalations, and employee or business questions.
  • Support global mobility activities, including relocations, international assignments, cross-border moves, and work permit coordination outside the U.S.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Attraction, Total Rewards, Payroll, Legal, business leaders, and external vendors to support immigration and mobility needs.
  • Manage relationships with immigration counsel, relocation providers, tax advisors, and other mobility vendors, including escalations, invoice review, and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate immigration and mobility records, monitor key dates and expirations, and provide reporting on case volume, costs, timelines, and employee experience.
  • Support compliance with immigration laws, mobility policies, tax considerations, and internal governance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline communications, and enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing U.S. employment-based immigration programs.
  • Experience working directly with external immigration counsel and managing high-volume case activity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment-based visa categories, PERM, prevailing wage, I-140, and adjustment of status processes.
  • Experience supporting relocations, international assignments, or global mobility programs.
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases while maintaining strong attention to detail.
