Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking an Events Intern who will support the planning and execution of tradeshows, internal events, and Geotab's marquee annual event, Geotab Connect. What you'll do:

As an Events Intern your key area of responsibility will be to support the Events team in the logistical planning of both internal and external events. The Intern will support the planning of tradeshow logistics for various segments and work with external vendors to develop booth assets, complete trade show applications, submit required assets and execute day-of-event deliverables and track post-event analytics. You will also provide support for Geotab's marquee annual event, Geotab Connect, and develop skills in execution of events through various event platforms. Additionally, you will research and evaluate event trends to generate new ideas that reinforce Geotab's position as a global leader in transportation technology. You will need to work closely with various levels of the Events team, through Events Specialists, Managers, and AVP Global Events.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Support Events Team members in planning, designing and implementing a variety of trade shows/events and managing project delivery elements within predetermined timelines.
  • Record budgets for events and update trade show/event calendar with all relevant event information.
  • Support in elements of Geotab's marquee annual event, Geotab Connect.
  • Work alongside Business Development, Segment Managers, Product, and other internal teams as required.
  • Support in day-to-day liaison with production vendors.
  • Develop event-specific organizational tools such as production timelines, contact lists, on-site deliverables schedule and ensure all internal and external individuals supporting designated events/projects are in alignment.
  • Support in development and submission of business cases and update the global events calendar, keeping all details up to date and accurate.
  • Deliver programs and events to a high level standard of execution and encourage innovation and creativity in event planning and execution.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Puruing a University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, with an interest in event planning.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as a willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
  • Creative thinking and an energetic and positive approach to facing challenges.
  • Passion for technology and innovation.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Virtual event execution experience is an asset.
