Job description

What is the role about?
The Accounting Specialist supports day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and efficient processing of transactions. This role provides hands-on support in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close activities, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Which tasks will you perform?
You will:
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity
  • Process vendor invoices by verifying accuracy, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely payments
  • Perform data entry and maintain financial records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities, including monitoring aging and supporting collection follow-ups
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status
  • Maintain organized filing systems to ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant
  • Provide support for internal and external audits by gathering and preparing required documentation
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Identify and support process improvement opportunities within accounting workflows
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What do we expect?
You:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting, finance, or related experience (including internship or entry-level exposure)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP, AR, reconciliations)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, and reconciliation support)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Exposure to month-end close processes (preferred)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment (Preferred)
