We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our Finance team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Position Summary
The Accounting Intern will support the Finance Department with daily accounting and administrative functions while gaining practical experience in healthcare accounting. This role offers exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting processes. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and is eager to develop professional accounting skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with processing accounts payable invoices and patient refunds.
  • Support accounts receivable activities, including payment posting and account reconciliation.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with monthly bank and account reconciliations.
  • Organize and file financial records in accordance with company policies.
  • Help review expense reports and verify supporting documentation.
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of accounting systems.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Participate in special projects, audits, and financial analysis as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Finance Department.

Required
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
