Looking Glass Community Services is actively recruiting a Director to join our Homeless Youth Services team!

Brief Overview of the Housing and Outreach Services Director Position

The Homeless Youth Services Outreach & Housing Services Director is responsible for the effective & efficient operation and performance of all outreach and housing programs providing services to our homeless youth & families.

Essential Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Professional experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

Certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional is preferred.

Knowledge of developmental issues of children, adolescents, and young adults, and working knowledge of issues related to youth experiencing homelessness is crucial for this role.

Compensation & Benefits

In order to hire and retain employees who truly share our mission to "build a better future for youth, adults, and families," we offer competitive benefits, compensation, a generous PTO accrual rate, and a positive work culture.

  • Salary: $80k-$85k/year
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, nights and weekends as needed with some on-call responsibilities per program needs
  • The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) options, and more!
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual rate starts at ~18 hours per month, equivalent to 5.4 weeks/year in the first year of employment. PTO accrual rate increases with tenure at the agency, and is available to use starting the 1st of the month following the first 30 days of employment.
  • Paid in-depth training to ensure a successful transition into the agency and position.
  • May qualify for Oregon behavioral health loan repayment programs and federal Public Student Loan Forgiveness programs.

Overview of the Homeless Youth Services Program

HYS is a group of four emergency shelter and crisis counseling programs. These services help youth get their lives back on track and provide the chance to reunite with their families. Station 7, PEER Shelter, and New Roads, with some Rural Outreach in Cottage Grove serve our clients in a way that equips them with basic needs, emergency shelter, and the tools necessary to advocate for themselves.
