If you want a hands-on learning experience that can also help children overcome their challenges, our internship program is a good start. We're looking for interns who are eager to learn and tackle challenging work outside the classroom. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and thrive in a supportive and inclusive work environment, we want you to be a part of our team.
Get to know Youth Focus
Youth Focus is passionate about helping children overcome their challenges. Our teams are committed to creating an environment that empowers every individual to thrive and make a difference.
What You'll Do:
As part of our internship program, you will receive hands-on experience, attend orientation, and have the opportunity to network with our staff. Our internships offer the potential for academic credit, depending on your institution. Also, High-performing interns may be considered for employment post-internship.
• Spring session application deadline: December 1
• Summer session application deadline: April 1
• Fall session application deadline: August 1
Due to the high volume of internship applications we receive, we are unable to contact every applicant individually. Only candidates selected to move forward in the process will be contacted. We appreciate your interest in joining our team.
Notification of acceptance will be communicated within 2-4 weeks of the application submission.
To apply for an internship, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Classification: Internships are open to junior, senior, or graduate-level students.
  • Background Checks: Applicants must pass required background checks, including the Diana screen.
  • Immunizations & Certifications: Current and valid immunizations and certifications as required.
  • Availability: Internships are available seasonally (Spring, Summer, Fall).
  • Training: Must be able to complete 7 days of in-person training in Charlotte, NC or Greensboro, NC from 9a-5p
  • Agreement: We must have an internship agreement with your school
