LJB Inc. is a fast-growing national engineering firm specializing in civil and structural engineering and geospatial, safety, health, and environmental services. The firm has a 50+ year history of leveraging new technologies to drive innovation and bring unique and sustainable value to our clients.
We are currently looking for Summer 2027 Interns for our South Portland, Maine office. We offer challenging and rewarding assignments for co-op students and summer interns. Students work with experienced engineers and are exposed to a variety of civil engineering challenges. They also get the opportunity to work on real world projects in a professional environment.
Pay: $18+ an hour
DESIGN ENGINEERING INTERN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work on job assignments related to area of engineering discipline focus
  • Perform routine tasks under close supervision using well established standards, procedures and drawings
  • Students will be exposed to design processes as well as various office and field procedures

DESIGN ENGINEERING INTERN ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
  • Must be a civil engineering major at an accredited university
  • Must be entering their Junior or Senior year of college

Qualifications:
  • Some travel may be required
  • U.S. citizenship required

Physical:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites
  • Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas
