Salary: $16.00 Hourly

The Internship Program at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort is hands on 10-week summer placement for Tribal-enrolled, High school graduates, or College or University students to gain knowledge and skills required to be successful in their future and gain experience within the gaming enterprise.

Student Internship Benefits

Interns are provided with supervised professional work experience specific to the student's studies that is designed to increase knowledge and provide valuable work experience within the gaming industry. The Intern's obtain training and intentional learning objectives that allow them to develop additional skills and qualifications while providing quality supervision to guide and mentor the intern. Possible employment opportunities upon graduation.

Length of Program

10 Weeks-Beginning Tuesday May 26, 2026 to Tuesday August 4, 2026 (high school students have the option to work weekends until graduation. Written confirmation of graduation required.)

Salary Compensation

Dependent upon job placement

Compensation: Interns receive a minimum hourly wage dependent upon position.

Interns are considered Temporary Employee status and will not be eligible for standard Mohawk Gaming Enterprises Health & Wellness Benefits

General Guidelines and Eligibility Requirements

Students interested in internship opportunities with the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort must meet the following guidelines and eligibility requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Enrolled member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
  • Must be a high school graduate or graduating and be enrolled in a two year or four year College or University as a full-time student. Acceptance letter must be submitted upon applying or returning schedule.
  • Pursuing a degree in gaming or casino management OR related field, such as; Business Administration/Management/Marketing/Finance, Accounting, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality and tourism, HVAC, Electrician, Computer Science and Culinary, or a similar program.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, supported by grade report.
  • Complete interview assessment
  • Must agree to and comply with corporate policies and individual departmental standards and expectations
  • Must complete a Tribal Gaming or NYS licensing application
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening Application Process
